Theme: Cultivating Grace and Compassion
Counting the Omer | Days 1–7
As we begin our seven-week journey from Passover to Shavuot, we pause to reflect on the foundation of our faith: chesed, the steadfast lovingkindness of God.
It was chesed that brought Israel out of Egypt. Not because they had earned it, not because they were mighty, but because God is love. His covenant faithfulness moved Him to act on behalf of His people—and it still moves Him today. As we count these days leading to Shavuot, we start with this posture of gratitude: God saw us in bondage and brought us out with love.
This week, we’re invited to reflect deeply on what it means to love like God loves. His love is not fleeting or conditional—it is loyal, generous, and full of mercy. If we have experienced that love, how can we withhold it from others?
Ask yourself:
Am I loving like He loves?
Are there people in your life who need your compassion more than your correction? Is there a place in your heart where grace has grown cold? This week, ask the Holy Spirit to renew your heart in His lovingkindness and to extend it through you.

Scriptures to Reflect On:
Psalm 136 – “His love endures forever.” This refrain reminds us over and over that God’s acts of deliverance are all rooted in His faithful love.
John 13:34–35 – “Love one another as I have loved you.” Yeshua sets the standard for love and tells us it’s how the world will know we belong to Him.
Exodus 12–13 – The Exodus story is the backdrop of divine mercy, where love led to liberation and the beginning of a new identity.
Spiritual Practice AKA Faith into Action
Start each morning this week by meditating on one act of God’s lovingkindness in your life. End each evening by identifying one way you extended that love to someone else. Let this week be shaped by grace in motion.
