Theme: Humbling Ourselves Before God
This week we enter into the mystery of Hod, a Hebrew word that holds the paradox of humility and glory. Hod is not loud or boastful. It is the quiet, radiant beauty that comes from surrender. It is the weight of God’s presence resting on someone who knows their strength comes only from Him.
True humility is not self-hatred or false modesty. It’s the deep understanding that our gifts, our breath, our calling—all come from God. It is choosing to bow low so He may be lifted high. When we offer our brokenness back to Him, something sacred happens. In that surrender, glory is revealed.
This week, we ask: What would it look like to worship through weakness? To see humility not as loss, but as holy offering?

Scriptures to Reflect On:
Micah 6:8 (CJB)
“Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you — no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.”
Philippians 2:5–11
“Let your attitude toward one another be governed by your being in union with the Messiah Yeshua: Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God something to be possessed by force. On the contrary, he emptied himself, in that he took the form of a slave by becoming like human beings are… Therefore God raised him to the highest place and gave him the name above every name.”
Numbers 12:3
“Now this man Moshe was very humble, more so than anyone on earth.”
Faith Into Action:
- Identify a moment this week where you can intentionally step back so someone else can shine.
- Spend quiet time each morning simply acknowledging your dependence on God.
- Offer a “broken praise”: worship not from strength, but from whatever place you are in. God receives it.
Humility is not weakness. It is sacred strength, submitted.
