Day 17 of Counting the Omer

Posted on April 19, 2026May 5, 2026 By Gloria No Comments on Day 17 of Counting the Omer

Mercy triumphs.

This one stops me a little…

Because it’s easy to want justice—
especially when something feels unfair.

But this flips it.

“For judgment will be without mercy toward one who doesn’t show mercy; but mercy wins out over judgment.”
— James 2:13

Not minimizes.
Not ignores.

Wins.

And I’m realizing…
the mercy I’ve received
is the same mercy I’m called to give.

Even when it’s undeserved.
Even when it’s hard.

Because that’s what was given to me first.

And maybe real strength
is choosing mercy anyway.
